I love your flower shots!! Very Beautiful . . . looks like a painting!
Kathy
Thank you Kathy am experimenting with more light.
It's fun to see how you can change the personality of a flower so much. xx
Have always loved your flower shots and this one is no exception.
Was wondering if removing the stalks for a close-up would work or not.
Yes, closer shot look good too.
And yes, keep a bit of green otherwise it would seem to be floating on nothing.
The quality of the image is as per usual.
My question about this one is the effectiveness of the strength of that 'tea-stain' (don't laugh - there's an article in this month's 'Black & White Photography' about someone who tones their images with tea), especially the one that extends well up the left-hand side.
I'm finding it distracting. Am I justified in this view?
Because of where my monitor is in relation to this ( unusual) sun today...... I couldn't even see it at first Donald.
A few contortions later though and yes it is there and certainly not intentional. This shot wasn't taken against white card so I am guessing that I just haven't cleaned up the background adequately.
Thank you for pointing it out.
Beautiful Love your work! You really do make your Models work for their space
Thanks Kerry...it's because I have to buy my own flowers..sob, sob!
It was fun doing this though...all the different moods.
I like what you have done Sharon. Your post processing gives me ideas for future portraits of flower I will take. Well done.
Very nicely done! I am undecided about the square crop with stems, only because feel it shortens them so much that they look almost added. I love the stems in the first image and think they add to the feel nicely.
Thank you Joe.
Paul, I totally agree about the long stem shot, I certainly prefer it.
