Long story short-- I have an old AF Nikon 70-210 lens. I would like a longer tele-but can't afford one now. Would a 2X teleconverter work? I understand I would lose 2 stops. The newer 2X teleconverter will not work with my old lens-but would an older model of 2x work? Thanks-mary

I would rather look for a used lens than buy a teleconverter,especially 2x you need top class equipment to make it work.
