Jack is 7 and is just losing his baby teeth now he has a big gap in between teeth and is trying to hide it..

At the risk of embarrassing Jack, I have to say that I think this is adorable, Owen. I think it captures that self-consciousness/vulnerability he must be feeling. And I love the blue eyes, freckles and red hair. If I were 7, I think I would be in love.

I'm no expert on portraits, but the contrast between his two ears seems a bit sharp and I wonder if the image might benefit from having the shadowing on the right hand side lightened up a bit? Apart from that, there is some kind of discoloration coming up from his shoulder on the right that I find a bit distracting. Otherwise, I love it.

well done, night lighting. natural light? I always make it a big deal when my son loses a tooth, he's always been happy to smile with missing teeth lol.
