Steve, we have some like that around here as well. Best I can tell they are a mix between Mallards and maybe a farm duck. They are kinda cool looking with the large patch of white and the green sort of splattered looking.

I figured as much, i couldn't find anything like them on the net. They seemed kind of tame as well. A few guys fishing near them and they didn't spook. (wouldn't come too close to me though, perhaps i should fake like i'm fishing)
