Iron Man

Was on the way to a used camera equipment shop to check out an old Leitz lens
that I was interested in.

Saw this some 30 to 40 feet tall Iron Man replica publicising the world premiere of the movie The Avengers. Obviously had to grab a couple of shots.

No, did not get the lens - was a bit too battered though the glass looked fine.

Missed getting a full length shot due to the number of people around. One inconsiderate guy had even set up a tripod and was alternating taking shots of his wife/gf and then taking a remote and doing self-portraits.

That's an excellent set of images. The first one works wonderfully well as it locates in the figure in the surroundings. It is a real commercial looking image.
