Lens kit for my camera . . . would this be beneficial to me?? Trying again, new links

Trying again, on my first post the links did not work . . .

I have a nikon Coolpix L120 camera and I ran across an adapter and lens kit available for it, I guess I would like to know if this would be benifical to me. I am hoping those of you that are more educated on photography would be able to help me out. I posted a couple of links the first one is my camera and the second one is the kit I am looking at. (Hopefully the links work.)

Can you tell us why you think you might need that kit? What is it that you're not able to do with what you've already got, that you want to do with this kit?

Well, I guess I was Wondering if it would help me get sharper images with the macro lens, I know that I am just beginning to learn how to photograph flowers with the macro mode feature and that I have alot to learn so I realize that it is not all the camera or lens at fault when my photo's do not come out very sharp, I thought maybe a stronger lense would help. And the other items in the kit, not sure how they would benefit me since I am so new to photography, I am guessing the telephoto lense would help me capture items from futher away. With this kit I would also be able to purchase filters (not sure what I would use the filters for) I am hoping some of you very experienced photographer could give me some advice.

    Thanks

I don't know this equipment at all and I can't find any reviews for it.

I suppose I can't help but feel that the L120 was never really made to have all these 'extras' and this kit feels like someone has come with an idea to make add-ons for a camera that's not really built for such add-ons. Now, if I've gto that wrong about teh L120, then I'm glad to be corrected.

I'm sure that the 'Macro portion' would allow you to get in close on some subjects. But a macro lens is a specialist piece of equipment and, again and without knowing the equipment, I feel that this is something that's trying to mimic a macro effect. And that makes me worry about the quality of image that you'd get.

So, in summary, I wouldn't touch these until I knew a whole lot more about them and spoke to someone who could give an objective assessment of the image quality that's produced. I appreciate that this is what you are trying to do by asking the question on here. But I have never seen anyone on here referring to this lens kit, so I suspect that there may not be a lot of them out there.

We seem to have two threads with the same title running. The other one is here. I have closed this one so that all discussion can happen in the one place.
