The image was obtaines a few days ago. The snow geese pass through our area in the spring on their migration north. I was fortunate to get front lit geese against a dark bg. Nikon D7000, Nikkor 70-200, f8, 1/1000, iso 800, hand held.

Gary, beautiful shot. I like the overall composition, and the geese on the water in front of the tree really grabbed my eye. Can't wait for your second shot.

Welcome Gary, Very nicely done , wonderful composition and colour, the small amount of grass in the foreground adds to the dimension of the shot, the tree is placed perfectly, you look at the tree then your eye follows the line to the right.

Gary - I'd just add my compliments as well on the quality of that image..
