nice.....
is it an amusemnet pier or boardwalk??
does the nam just refer to the pier or is there a city there too or countryside?
There is a reasonable size town there, with some good places selling locally caught fish. We are going back again in about two weeks time.
Very nice composition. The black and white is the superior image in my opinion. But back to an old nag of mine; a touch of selective burning would finish nicely. but thats just me. Its a very good image. I would be very pleased with this. There is something odd about the light in the colour version was there a touch of evening sun breaking through?
i like the color better....but id try to retake the picture from about the same angle but without the rockpile..the rockpile does kinda balance the photo out but IMO its irelevant to the pier...
Well spotted Kevin. I can see where you are heading with that comment. The picture is well balanced if you take the rock pile as the main subject.
The rockpile is actually man made, it helps to protect this part of the coast which is subject to severe errosion. Just up the coast from here the beach has almost disappeared over the last few years.
It would be difficult to get the pier without rocks somewhere in the shot.
