    Kiteboarding

Stopped down at the local beach yesterday and tried my hand at something new for me. The light was descent for about 10min. lol and in the wrong direction...but I made do. It was kinda fun and I may have another go at this on occasion. Most shots ranged between F9-F11 1/1200-1/2000 @ approx. 400mm ISO 400 These are a few of the keepers. C&C always welcome.

    Re: Kiteboarding

Thanks Rob, shooting kiteboarding is a bit new to me but a good time. It was impossible to get a good close shot and include the kite, so I decided to focus on the action. Appearently in the contests or pro shoots.... much shorter lines are used, making inclusion of the kites.

They are super. One option - You could maybe think about a little dodge on the faces in #3 and #4 just to lift the shadows a bit.

But compared to the woeful efforts I made a few weeks ago when I tried to photograph land-yachting for the first time, these are different league altogether. They are really, really good.

Excellent photography aside, kiteboarding looks really cold and a lot of work. A sport of youth.

I agree; excellent action shots Paul, but in need of a little "TLC" in PP.

As Donald says, there's detail to be had in the faces, just needs a few seconds work on 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6.

    Cheers,

    Re: Kiteboarding

Thanks Donald, Kevin and Dave, I had thought about a little dodging and somehow in my tired push to finish up that night I neglected to give it a go. I will go back and do so.
