Ron - I just came across this thread. Great job and very creative interpretations there. I love the railway shot and concept.

    Well done.

    Re: Week 4

Hi Ron, this is a technique that was used frequently in the 50's western movies to shoot night scenes.

In this case, I think the sun is working against you inasmuch as the left side is much too bright to be lit by moonlight alone. I'm hoping that you can do more of this as I would love to learn the techniques needed to produce this kind of an image.

Not sure if it's my monitor but the sky is looking a bit oversaturated for me. It's a great effect on the rest of the scene though.

    Week 6 May 8

I had to catch up with myself, I was too involved playing with panoramas last week and I thought I had up loaded one, I am now going to put the date in as well as a double check that I don't forget.

Whle this shot appears a straight forward shot, i had to do a lot in PS5 as I was only using my 18-105 lens so had to crop severely and sharpen.

Yes I agree Frank, it was difficult to tone down the strong sun, a grey overcast day would have produced a better result.
    Thanks for your comments.

A unique and interesting concept, Ron! I would love to see this with the crosshairs in the scope level and the entire scene in focus. That would likely take a composite image to get the scope, target, and background all in focus. You could likely make it work with just the scope and target in focus as well.

I don't think it works well with just the target in focus as that is such a small part of the overall image.

    Hi Ron,

I like the shack above because I can see detail in the shadows and you have a good balance of tonal range.

Unfortunately, poor Alison has lost all her hair detail in the shadows, was this a deliberate processing choice?

I like the background matching her eye shadow.

    Cheers,
