New Lense, First offering
Just purchased a new Sony G series 16-80with Carl Zeiss optics. No time yet to explore its sweet spot, but wanted to grab some shots before the next rain. Any thoughts appreciated

Looks like it will be a nice lens Kevin. I thought the 16-80 Zeis is a DT? Either way....I look forward to seeing more from it.

Paul,
Thanks. You may well be right, I'm not terribly well versed in the nomenclature Sony uses. I found the lense having searched the G series, but it doesnt have the gold emblem (or quite the price tag that I've seen in the G series). I apparently mistakenly equated the Zeiss glass with the G series. I shall look that up-dont want to be inaccurate.

Very nice shot Kevin. Colours exposure and focus are spot on. The lens should do a good job for you.

I'd be embarassed if anyone knew how excited I was when the UPS man pulled up. Still a child at heart.

If that's just a quick test shot, just wait until you get serious ![Smile](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png)
