    Greetings from Hong Kong

    Hi Folks,
Another new member with a new camera. Bought my DSLR last July and have been mostly shooting Street photography and sports (Rugby) with a few objects/places thrown in. I enjoy the split second nature of street and sports photography. Don't really have the patience for Landscape and stuff like that. My real weakness is flash/lighting so I am going to be working hard at that over the next few weeks/months. Going to bully some friends into posing for studio portraits for me so I can practice.

I just posted some examples of street shots from my recent trip to Sri Lanka here Christmas in Sri Lanka

and here are a couple that don't fit in the People/Animals section....

    The ubiquitous Sri Lankan tuk-tuks

really nice photo, but the first photo color abit wash out, convert it to b&w will bring out the subject more, i think.

btw, ur water mark abit killing all the photo hahaha....personally i feel it too big.

    Hi Dan,

I like the compositions on all, although I might try with 10% less across the top of #2, just enough to show there is something beyond the roof line, but not so much as to show what (and hence distract from the square and person elements of the image.

I agree with Patrick, that watermark is way too big and bold - unless your aim is advertising, I'd drop it altogether because it ruins all three images.

    Cheers,
