turning their heads for home
Just several sheep being worked. The worst part of trying to compose these pics is that all wretched working dogs seem to have been fitted out with large floppy, lolling tongues!

Re: turning their heads for home
This is starting to get interesting. I'm picking up lots of helpful hints for when I eventually get myself organised to go and shoot sheep dog trials.

Cool shots. Any that bring a smile are always cool shots. Thanks for posting.

Re: turning their heads for home
Hi Ken,
The first suffers from the unfortrunate position of the dog behind the sheep, but #2, well that's great timing.
Good DoF control on both too - or did you have to play in post? (I can't tell from missing EXIF data)
Could you satisfy my curiosity please, were they shot too bright and brought down somewhat in PP?
Cheers,

Re: turning their heads for home
I think it should be noted at this stage that if I do get around to shooting sheep dog trials in Scotland, then sunshine, short sleeves etc are, invariably, not on the menu. Instead what you can expect are tweeds and/or heavy duty waterproof gear. But, then again, it adds to the atmosphere!

They use border collies for herding cows round here, this has put me in mind to have a go at shots like this.
