Chicago by night...
Hi everybody,
Unfortuately I missed the start of porject 52. However, hope to have some more time for shooting in future. At a business trip I took the chance for making some pictures in Chicago. I was the light which motivated me to make thge picture - hope I got it well
Nearly no post-prcessing (noise reduction and sharpening).
C&C always welcome.
Cheers,
Marcus

Re: Chicago by night...
I love that building in Chicago (Sears tower?). In my edit, I isolated the buildings from the sky and tower and worked in CS5 to remove most of the yellow-orange from the tungsten lighting. Inverting that layer, I boosted the clarity in the sky and building to give a bit more contrast to the image.
I will give you a full edit breakdown if you are using ACR and CS5.

Hi Jonny,
thanks for post-processing - like it very much! Did you reduce the yellow-orange light using selective color correction?
The bulding in the picture not the Sears Tower. The Sears Tower is black and by feet approximately 30min away from that one.

Partially. Mostly used the selected areas and did a color cast removal by copying the later mask and using "Blur" at Average, inverting and using a soft light blend, adjusting opacity as needed. I also used the vibrance slider with a bit of a nudge to the left.
I generally get better results of adjusting selective colors using the channels adjusters in either HSB or just in channels itself.
