Hi Paul,
what a lovely old building. Do you have any pictures of the inside? Through the widows maybe?
Do you have any information on the building? Farm building I guess?
These type of pictures are right 'up-my-street' I love them.
Well done. Enjoyed viewing them immensely, thanks for sharing.
Lovely rich tones, Paul. I do like what you've done with the sky in the first and third images. That 'front-on' composition, especially with that sky behind it, makes for a powerful image.
I'm wondering about that ivy covered wall at the right hand side in the third one. You obviously made a decision to keep it there. Do you think it's better with than without it?
as i was stood with the owner when i took these images.i did ask about going inside but he wasn't to keen.maybe on another visit.
not to sure of the history and google doesn't bring up much.but local knowledge tell me that the hall was built in 1860 using the remains of a much older building from about 1500's.but possibly from the manor of Fitton which originated in lands held by Alan de Fitton of the Bishop of Ely. from About 1210-12.and a old couple had lived up to the early 70's and then just left to rot.
I am with john just love the images.
Cheers:
Allan
thank you
