Last of my bird day out....fight!

These are 4 of a 20 frame fight. While they faught I had to shoot into the light a bit, but as it ended one chased the other in a direction that allowed a little better angle. Hence the light in the last. They ran on the top of the water long enough for 4 or five frames. The whole thing was rather violent and yet comical at the same time.

You really are making a niche for yourself and becoming so highly accomplished with these wildlife shots. Having tried a couple of times to shoot birds, I appreciate just how challenging it is. You really have developed an expertise and that, I think, shows through in the images.

For me the first one in particular is so full of energy. It tells us so clearly about the savagery of the encounter (this ain't playing about!). And the wonderful detail captured in the last one (as they run on the water) is fantastic - that one has just got to be viewed larger in the lightroom. Real high quality documentaries of the natural world around us.

I admire your dedication to perfecting your skills in relation to this type of photography.
