Advice - Triptych frames for 10 x 8 photos
Hi everyone
Have spent ages on the internet but unable to find any frames that I could display three 10 x 8 photos in. Can anyone help?
Thanks

Do you have stores like U-Frame-It in your area. You go in, pick your frame material and make it yourself with some expert guidance from the staff. Mats and all. It might be the only choice for your project.

Hi Andrew. As far as I can see they only operate in N America. I know I can find a company that make bespoke frames but I just wanted to investigate whether you can buy them 'off the shelf'.

Re: Advice - Triptych frames for 10 x 8 photos
Hi Adrian,
I can't help, but wondered whether you were looking for one big frame into which you'd mount 3 pics, visible through cardboard masks, or perhaps some kind of three part hinged 10 x 8 frame set?
I found these people after a couple of google links on "triptych picture frames". I haven't looked all through to see if they go as big as 3 x (10 x 8) though - so maybe you have found and discounted them already.
Cheers,

Does the frame have to consist of three 10x8 panels? I read somewhere that the side panels of a triptych should be smaller than the middle one. Which might make a frame easier to find - for example, an A4 landscape sided with two A5 portraits?
Not that I've ever made a 3-panel display nor do I know the conventions of such

Hi Dave, Ted
Thinking about it, no the frame doesn't need to be a triptych, rather it has to be able to hold 3 10x8 photos. Whether that's horizontally or vertically doesn't really matter :-)

Dave, I followed your link.... as a result I then googled 'wide 3 aperture photo frames'...think I've cracked it!

Thank you, Adrian!!! I was just looking for a triptych frame today and found this thread. Their frames look really nice, too.

I found triptych frames at Target (a US big box store and I don't know whether they're international or not). It was in their home furnishings department.
