Re: Fallen Cedar
This is really a beautiful image. This must have been an idyllic spot. It would not surprise me to see a water nymph rising out of the pool below the falls.
I wonder if it might have been possible to shoot from a little lower and to the left so that the cedar would not cover the top of the falls area. That might or might not have improved an already lovely image.
Of course, that is easy for me to say, leisurely sitting here at my computer.

Re: Fallen Cedar
Hi Jon,
fantastic picture.
Nothing from me on the C&C front, as I'm not at this level myself and will therefore leave C&C to the more experienced members here.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: Fallen Cedar
Hi Jon, I like it. Not being a big fan of borders and frames I find that distracting but the image is beautiful. It makes me want to go there, to see it, to hear the water. Well done.

Re: Fallen Cedar
Congratulations Jon, a stunning shot.
The soft light and slow shutter speed to give the falling water a milky look really appeals to me.
Cheers Greg

Re: Fallen Cedar
Nice shot. I think the outer frame is too large when viewed on the screen. On a larger printing it would work very well.

Re: Fallen Cedar
Thank you all for the kind words, I am glad you enjoyed the pic. It was one of those wow! moments when you come across a scene like this and I worked every angle I could think of out of it.
I am amazed how much difference a Polarizer makes in the woods, I had just received my Lee Filter holder and 105mm adapter ring ( after months of back order) prior to our Trip into the San Juan Islands. I thought about it for water reflection but did not expect much else. I shot these two pic from the same spot same settings, not post processed in any way. A light artifact did show up on the Fallen cedar about half way up but it will process out. I will "Always" carry my polarizer into the woods with me for now on.
