Pied Kingfisher
In this case the Kingfisher landed and sat for a few moments before taking back to the air; a vehicle can act as a form of hide as he landed by us as we were stopped by the waters edge identifying ducks. Taken in the Moremi Game Reserve in Northern Botswana.

Hi Paul, thank you, it works for me to plus swayed by the fact that the bird is also B&W.

I agree with Paul. The 'normal' thing would be to do this in colour, but by going down the B & W route, the image really throws our attention, I think, onto the shape and structure of the bird and the patterns on the body.
