Think I would have cropped out some of this one or moved position in the original shot if making the sunset was the aim of your shot.
hi shreds,
can you expand on that?
which part would you crop out?
Raycer, I think I'd crop off the left hand tree and the adjacent 'chimney thing' on the horizon.
The downsizing to fit the 97kB attachment limit certainly doesn't help (but I understand why it's necessary).
But maybe shreds had another idea...
Raycer,
I particularly like the light shining up from the sun and the dramatic effect this has on the clouds.
What I had in mind has been pre-empted by rustyshutter71's post; losing a little off the left hand side would in my view, focus attention even more on the dramatic sunset, without placing it in the middle of the composition. The trees provide a good depth and balance to the picture if done in this way.
Of course you may have had something else in mind...let us know if that is the case?
like this?

Thanks for all the help. I guess a picture is similar to writing a story, where I shouldn't introduce new subject at the end.
