Roseate Spoonbill
There is a small freshwater pond near the saltmarsh where the marsh birds drink and bathe. I got there just in time to see this one coming in.

Nice shot Bob, well up to your usual excellent standard.
I have to say I'm envious of your large, colorful birds over there.
Our larger birds tend to be dark colors here and the colorful ones are tiny.
I have some unposted examples, must get around to processing them.

Yes, excellent photo and good angle, more interesting than a front on or 90 degree shot.
Talking about the UK drab coloured birds, Dave, I like the expression about Grey Herons being Flamingos which were designed by Presbyterians.
