Lightning II

From last night.

The only shot with the clouds out the way. Many shots but those clouds were acting like giant diffusers and killed everything.

The colour casts were terrible too so instead of trying to fix, converted it to black and white.

Comments and suggestions always appreciated.

Love the lightning arc above the clouds, and works well in B&W. I cant figure out what the diagonal streak is at the bottom right, and wonder if it's germane to the image

It was a plane. With a long exposure its lights would streak and the slightly brighter spots are its blinking night lights.

Without something in the foreground the shot would have been quite uninteresting with only the top third with lightning and some pretty unimpressive clouds in the middle.
