Thread: Sunflower

    Sunflower

I was using a flat mirror for this shot and though not ideal I have managed to capture what I thought I would. However, I cannot make my mind up about the stalks. I am not sure whether to enhance the colour or get rid altogether. I am still trying to get used to this flashgun so any comments on the lighting are very welcome. Of course any general C&C is also welcome.

    Hi Steve,

    Probably better without the stalks.
Let me know if the rumour is true that as you clone out the real stalk the reflection goes too?

Hey, you found a use for Ivy!

Nice pics as usual, well done,

My vote is to keep the stalks. Makes you think a bit without distracting you from the flowers themselves.

Thankyou all for your comments. The consensus seems to be to keep the stalks. So I will. However.....

Let me know if the rumour is true that as you clone out the real stalk the reflection goes too?
I suspect that the reflection will not disappear in GIMP and since I need much practice in PP I will try removing the stalks when I get 5 minutes. I am also curious what it will look like since Dave seems to have an unwavering eye for these things
