Why would you want to stop it down? Having the background out of focus only attracts one's eye more to the dragonfly. I reckon with the reeds/grass all in perfect focus you might lose the impact of the subject. I might have gone the other way to 5.6 at 400. Nice pic.

Not being a straight on shot the right set of wings are not in sharp focus.Just me being picky.Thanks for your comments.

I know what you mean Jim, and I tend to agree, but it's not a big deal, still a very nice shot.

Stopping it down to f11, or even f16, isn't going to bring that much more into focus, I think there'd still be sufficient separation from the background.
Jim,
Thinking about it some more, stopping down would almost certainly have meant a higher ISO and/or lower SS, so noise and/or shake may then have spoilt it, not to mention the risk of missing the shot while you did so.
I'd be happy with what you have achieved
