Wood Stork...C&C Appreciated

The Wood Stork is one of the largest wading birds in North America standing over 3 feet tall. It has been listed on the Endangered Species list in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina where there are breeding colonies. In the 1930's there were about 20,000 nesting pairs, today there are about 5500.

Nicely focused and exposed of a tricky subject on both counts.

My only suggestion would be to PP down to 1000 px maximum in height (two are 1200) because few of us have screen that tall, which means we can't see the whole image at 100% (for maximum sharpness), even in a Lytebox with browser in (F11) full screen mode.

1200px (and more) is fine horizontally though, since the last one comes out at 900 px tall.

I agree with Dave, nice exposure and sharpness. I like #2 the best for the less distracting background and overall comp. Nice capture and it sounds to be one that is getting more difficult to come across.

Thanks Dave...I edited the post and resized both. You know when looking at them full screen in Lytebox I could not see the full image...duh, just never gave it a thought. Thanks for the advise and suggestion.

Extremely cool bird and capture! #2 does it for me, mostly bc of background and detail in whites. Really nice.
