Lovely shots Bobo, very structural plant...bracken?
I might crop the second in from the right but that's just me.
Thanks Sharon.
Absolute ID idiot here, no idea what it is.
Considered quite a few cropping options for #2 but wanted to keep the X and the reverse curved plant in background. Also the "\" part of the X is a branch off the tree to the right so it needed something to anchor with.
I really need to correct my target oriented approach and look more at the surroundings and how they fit with the target. But sometimes I forget.
Better take your lunch with you. And from my experience, wait, wait then wait some more; then when some action arrives, get flustered and mess up the one and only potential shot.
The first one works fine. I would also try a crop of the second one; but I think I would crop quite a bit tighter, on the top and both sides.
I know what you mean...I have a wee mantra of 'choose your background' that I chant as I click.
I have lost a few good shots to that strange orange/ blue 'thing' in the background that I swear was not there when I took the shot but is alarmingly clear when I load up the picture.
They are really cool shots Bobo!
Thanks Geoff, I was about to say something like that but you jumped me on that.
Yes Sharon, that is how it is. Need to train the brain - foreground/background/target, target/background/foreground, background/target/foreground, etc etc etc. until it becomes a habit. And when all is done - the target disappears.
