Epupa Falls
After posting an "over the top" portrait earlier on today, I've decided to follow up with another image that's a bit over the top. The scene is Epupa Falls, on the Namiba / Angola border. We had wandered down Kunene River to the falls, an area known to be freee of crocodiles. It was getting late and the sun was setting, so the lighting was way beyond what my camera's sensor was capable of recording, so I popped on a 5-stop ND filter, put my camera on my tripod and took a number of bracketed exposures for PP work when I got home.
So here is the end result; heavy filtration to smooth out the flow and three images processed by Oloneo Photo Engine to produce this HDRI image.
It's not a technique I use very often. I've done less than a half-dozen images this way.

Re: Epupa Falls
Manfred - I wonder if we need all that ground that we currently see on the right? I think it maybe diverts attention away from the main subject - the waterfall. I looked at it as a 5:4 crop utilising the existing left hand side, top and bottom and consodered if this made a difference?
I appreciate that it is a matter of personal taste, but for me the exposure time is too long. I would prefer to see more detail in the water.

Re: Epupa Falls
I really like this shot.
I agree with Donald. The "that soft" water lacks the really sense of a water fall but still it is a personal opinion. A PP vignetting would fit there imho.
