Why are Moire Patterns mostly blue/orange?
For cameras without AA filters (M9, D800E, my own hot-rodded 5DII) Moire patterns are possible.
I was wondering why when they appear, they don't seen to show green/blue/red, but they are mostly blue/orange in color. Why is this? Any good scientific explanation?

Something to do with the sensor having twice as many green-filtered photosites perhaps?
