Re: A few cups of Malchi
What a great adorable set of images. I'll take the forth one down for the wife, he looks like a little rascal full of mischief. How do we expect him to be shipped... They are precious Richard.

Richard, 1st off what a great story. It is fantastic that you rescue these beautiful dogs.
I absoloutely love your idea with the cups ( how do you come up with them ) .Fantastic colours and tones, all 4 images and dogs are amazing, but for me #1 just wins, i love the way she is slouching over the edge of the rim.
Once again fantastic set.

I agree...absolutely adorable. Those shots would have to get these little guys adopted and the new parrents will want a print as well! Nice work.

Re: A few cups of Malchi
I always look whenever I am in craft shops, thrift shops or rummage sales for props that will be good for my dog photography. I found the large cup in a craft store. It is actually not meant for drinking but, for use in a floral arrangement.
Another prop I use is a small red wagon which I have been keeping in the pen with the another pair of Malchi puppies. I tried shooting some puppies about a year ago using the red wagon as a prop and they were petrified of it. However with the puppies playing around and in the red wagon, they are perfectly used to it now. Another thing that I realized is that I had used a black background for the shots of the pups in the wagon and I had problems with losing the wheels and the handle since they are black. Trying to keep definition in black on black as well as in the white coats (these were purebred white Maltese) of the puppies was pretty difficult. I plan to work with the red wagon and the two puppies tomorrow...
Additionally, I search eBay for props and I found this miniature couch for dolls which works well for dog portraits...
BTW: This guy isn't a rescue. He is Joey, a friend's AKC Champion.
This is Dandy, our last Champion Maltese show dog.
We once bred and showed Maltese but, now only do rescue work. It is more rewarding...

Joe, you have a Scion XB....what do you need a second for? Besides these red ones being convertables.
