Those guys just LOOK mean! Cool shot. What would somebody put in a hawk feeder? Hamsters? Stuff it with the birds other guys photograph?
Some of his white markings are a close to blown out on his back, but his face is in a shadow, so I see why you have to leave it bright.

Looks like he was focusing on you while you were him. Great looking background shows hawk off well, I am so used to limbs or blown out skies behind hawks. Looks like you were able to get close. Great image!

Its great to see bird shots at eye level. He's looking right back at the lens and that makes it all the better. The big aperture gives that great back ground which profiles the hawk nicely. Nice one Jack. How is the Mark 3. Did you have Mark 2 before hand, and if so is there much difference?
