Rosie the Red Bellied Conure

Hi everyone,
Just had to post a few photo's of our new addition to the family.
It's Rosie the Red Bellied Conure. (Hope it's a she otherwise it's a pretty gay name for a bloke bird). If anyone can tell me the sex by the photo's, let me know before our bird develops a complex.

We brought her home late this afternoon and to look at she appears mostly dark green with a few splashes of red.
What a surprise I got when I took the photo's with flash which brought her colours out.
She is only 12 weeks old and apparently it takes 6 months before her plumage fully develops.
I get a feeling you might be seeing more of her as she grows.

One question - have you managed to get her back into her cage yet?

(easier said than done I suspect)

Lovely colours Greg, difficult to imagine more of them!

Definitely need to be viewed in Lytebox and then use "Expand to actual size" to fully appreciate them.
