    Wood Storks Revisited...C&C Welcomed

Recently I posted images of Wood Storks telling how in the 1930's there were over 20,000 nesting pairs and today there are only about 5,500. These birds are found in the southeastern part of the country. They are declining because of loss of habitat needed for breeding. This past week my wife and I drove to Merrit Island National Refuge, more particular Black Point Wildlife Drive. The dominant birds we saw and photographed were Wood Storks and Black-necked Stilts. Below are a few of the images of the Wood Storks.

The background in the first one really makes the birds stand out. Clear and very sharp. The shot is well composed and balanced.

Thanks Paul, so do I really like #1. The post processing brought out the best features on the storks. That image out of a sequence caught all of them in a wonderful position. A shot that is definetly added to my portfolio.

The magic number of three elements in a picture.

I like the ballet in #1 very much. Perhaps I would like it to inlcude a bit more in the foreground, the whole reflection of this plant.
