Most people familiar with WW-II aircraft can spot the B-25 Mitchell with its twin tail because it was flown by the U.S. Army Air Force, the RAF and by other Commonwealth nations. . However, this is a variant of the B-25, The PBJ, which was flown bythe U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Area. This heavily armed medium bomber was tasked with ship interdiction and many squadrons flying this aircraft specialized in night attack runs using their eight forward mounted .50 caliber Browning machine guns as well as air to ground rockets.
