Well done paul i like flowers too.
Neat work Paul.
#4 is my pick for it's simplicity and I love the colours.
Being picky though, the top of the flower slightly gets out of focus.
Cheers Greg
Thanks Jack and Greg.
Greg I noticed that too, darn thing must have been just out of my DOF. Didn't catch til I got home.
Nice job on these paul. The tight crop works well for me. Nice colors and detail. I've always found the natural backgrounds a bit messy as well, which is why i almost always take flower shots from clippings. Just too hard to find the perfect flower , in the perfect spot, in the perfect lighting, to photograph. Clippings make it so much easier, but i'm shure your customer wouldn't feel the same way.
Thanks Steve, I am sure my customer would have fainted seeing me pack off a bushell of her prized flowers. Steve, when I say went in, I mean in camera...they were shot tight, not cropped. Not that it makes a huge difference.
Lovely set...#3 for me!
My favorites are #1 with the moisture drops and #4 with the bee.
Thank you Sharon and Carl.
I like #5 with the bee, but wish I had used a little more DOF.
LOL, I agree, I only meant that the image is what it is...... that I don't have the ability to try a different crop. Absolutely the quality will be better the less cropping done.
Please excuse my poor wording. My busy days are kicking my butt.
Nicely done shots. I too would like to have seen 4 sharper at the top but that is how we learn hehe.
Thank you Bobo. So true.
