Pretty bird Jack, I am not sure I am familiar with this bird of prey. Did you replace the background here? Nice and sharp, to bad about the wing tips though.

I like the exposure on this...wsh the wingtips were in it. I think that hawk is known as a Ferruginous Hawk. Rough legged Hawks generally have a lighter head and darker body. Ithink that image would be enhanced by a colored background such as tall cedars. I know a lot of folks dont like to change backgrounds on nature shots. Great capture .
