Waterwheel revisited (5-26-12)

A very good shot Bruce with excellent detail in the stone work and wheel.

I find forests very difficult places to photograph -too much going on and always something in the way. Short of the chainsaw I'm not sure what you could do. Taking the shot from further to the right may move the tree clear of the building, but I think you would lose the angle on the wheel and possibly end up standing in the mill pond!

I was wondering about cropping to remove the left hand tree but, as it is, I think it tends to balance the wheel.

I like this picture, it looks a very interesting place to Photograph.
If your not happy with the tree / trees could you not give them the PP version of a chainsaw?
I'm rubbish at this kind of thing, but you seem to know your stuff and am sure you could make the adjustment if you think that would improve things.
This is the sort of thing I was thinking of.
