Well done. I like it.
It is really really good!
I love the balance of the faceless child with the lightpool on the left.
Hi Robert,
it works for me too.
I 'sort of' want to see the face; but then again the mystery of not knowing what's behind gives IMO a magical, "wanting more" feel to this picture.
Well done.

And she probably pulled the leaf away after you took the shot and poked her tongue out.
Got to love kids.
Great photo. One you will treasure, I'm sure.
Greg
Hi Robert
I'm sorry but I really don't like it. The faceless child gives me the idea of a lifeless or soul less child, and this is accentuated by the monochrome conversion. I know the kid was just playing and you were just making a snapshot of the moment, but it just does not work for me.
If we could see her eyes, then it would make a huge difference.
Anyway I like you were experimenting with a non-standard photo.
Toņo
You're right- either you love it or it gives you the creeps. But it wows with artsy composition.
Thanks Shawn, Miltos, John! Greg, you must have kids yourself. Toņo, I agree peeking above the leaf would have been fantastic. Mary, thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!

Hi Robert, I can't help to think that this is one of those that would work better in the original more lively color?
Hey Frank! I had a pic up of her brother but reconsidered minutes later (you're quick) - are you referring to the original leaf photo, or #2?
That is funny, my add and delete must have hopscotched you loading the page and then adding your comment
Here's another version in color, which does appear to have a little more depth to it compared to the original post; I look forward to your comments (and very much appreciate it!). By the way she's in front of a very large mangrove tree in downtown St. Pete Florida...

I Like it! It is kinda artsy!
Thanks Frank! And hello Joe, been a bit, good to hear from you!
The more I look at the color version the more I like it; thanks again for the feedback
Hmmm....!I find the B&W composition kind of creepy! (e.g. I could imagine it as the DVD cover of a psychological thriller...!) I love the one with the colours. I can even see the girl smiling behind the leaf! (dont ask me how!)
Good job though! It's fantastic how different the same picture can be, the same composition, with just a twist of the colours!

Its a great shot, the subject is performing and the tree is a perfect back drop. Yes it is kinda creepy but very unique.
I like it! It is slightly creepy but once you see the color version, that creepy feeling goes away and it makes me smile.
