Hi folks, a friend of mine posted the image below to me as a few things appeared odd.....I magnified it as best i could and am convinced its been edited, the arm seems to blend with the bannister, to the left of the hand around the bannister spars there is a darker defined line........i'm hoping some digital experts can give me there opinions.....many thanks!!
Re: Nothing spectacular....but has it been edited????
There are some stray pixels at the base of her purse and either she's missing a finger on her right hand (camera right), or it's in her pocket. Picture on the wall has an anomoly but on the whole, being it's such a low resolution post it's hard to really tell what's noise and what's tinkering. Because this is such a candid shot I don't know what the incentive would be to alter it...
Re: Nothing spectacular....but has it been edited????
Hi,
hard to tell for sure, but it looks to me like both the girl and lady have been PP onto this picture. The lady's pose looks un-natural, the way she is holdiing her hands and the contact to the girl. Looking closely the lady's finger appear to be near to the girls arm and not touching it, but sort of overlayed. The lady's arm around the banister does not look right and of course the missing finger? Or is it just a badly blended PP of more than one picture onto a source picture?
Also looks to be some fringing around the girls head and the ladys top.
Be intersted to know the truth behind the picture and how near or far away our assessment of it is.
Re: Nothing spectacular....but has it been edited????
I don't believe this has been altered at all. The finger is in the pocket. It is not very well composed or focussed but that I don't believe is in question. It is hard to be 100% but I really don't think it is anything but a captured memory. Is there a back story that would lead you to believe it is indeed falsefied?
Re: Nothing spectacular....but has it been edited????
Thanks for your opinions Guys, no it was originally posted as her right hand position resembled a childs face (at a distance) i Magnified that area and the shadow in my limited opinion looked edited....i also thought the girls hair on her right looked odd, and the ladys arm seems to blend with the bannister at the elbow.......i was just curious of others with more experience of digital images opinions.
