<LOL>! NO! I am sure that he figured on $4 instead of $12 for a 5x7. I'm playing around with a trial version of zenfolio today. I need to access the forum to see if I can do self-fulfillment with an independent lab here in town. They do amazing work; to the point where I don't trust anyone with my prints. I can do that with the zoomphoto company I'm with (currently I've been letting them print for me but they do have the option I want) but the zenfolio has a much nicer display for the photos/homepage. The price for both would be the same with self-fulfillment. I should check out the company you use, too.
