Greetings from Cajun Country
Hello Everyone!
My name is Mike and I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
New to this site but have shooting for a couple years now.
Recently moved from a Sony A700 to the NEX-7. It is taking a little to adjust to the new menus and functions on the NEX, but I am really enjoying it.
I have many nice lenses with my A700 camera, but sold them all to purchase the NEX.
So, now I have the dilemma of which way to go with lenses.
Do I try and stick with the native e-mounts or go with the many adapters available??
The peaking function on the NEX system is fantastic and don't have any issues with going strictly manual focus.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the great site and forums.
Mike

Hello Mike.
I'm afraid I can't offer an opinion on the equipment question as I don't know the systems that you have, but hopefully someone who uses the same gear will see this and come in with their thoughts.
So, can I just welcome you to CiC and hope that you enjoy being involved in the forum.
So that you don't continue to get people asking you what your proper name is, because most us use that on here, you can go to Edit Profile and enter your proper name under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.

Mike, I shoot Sony but am afraid I can not answer your question either. I have heard the Nex 7 is pretty nice, glad you are happy with it. I went the other way and went with the A77. Lots of new tech from Sony lately. Welcome to CIC, I am sure someone whom can help will be along shortly.
