The Tay Bridge #4

When I posted The Tay Bridge #3 and The Tay Bridge #2, a few days ago, I made reference to the fact that I'd also gone out to the bridge very early last Sunday morning when it was shrouded in fog.

This is the first of four images I've made from that session. This was at 5:22am.

Beautiful, very comfortable image and the detail of the structure so clear to see. I found #2 and #3 a bit menacing. This one I can come back to, again and again.

That is an interesting comment and I think I understand what you mean. The other three that I will post from this same session are, I think, in the more 'mellow' category. I do tend to like softer tones and your comments do make sense in the context of the harder tones in #2 and #3.

I thought about the word 'menacing' for a long time when I wrote the comment Donald as it was difficult to describe what I was feeling, or why. I think it is because the vertical line if the bridge is right at the right hand edge of the pictures and at the front of the view. This is the sort of feeling I get when standing next to a large ship in a dock. Either way, it must be a compliment to your images that they can invoke powerful feelings in their viewers. (Either that or I am just odd!)
