peony
We have lots of peonies now, and while they are beautiful flowers, I find them very hard to photograph. Tried this one last night. C&C welcome, of course.
This is 11 images, stacked with Zerene, DMap. The depth of the flower generated a fair amount of haloing that I had to clean up with Zerene's retouching tool.

Re: peony
Super detail throughout the image.
A question I had is whether we need as much of the flower on the left-hand side as we can see, or whether a crop on the left that brings it more into a 5:4 ratio would focus more attention in what is currently the right-hand half of the image.?

Re: peony
Donald,
thanks for the comment.
I posted it a few other places and got very varied responses. Some people prefer it vertical, some horizontal. Some see the action in the right side, in the plant's ovaries, as you do. Others see the action in the wave-like form of the petals. I'm ambivalent, but I was more drawn to the wave-like petals than the ovaries when I took the shot.
