Play with Me
While recently on the Caribbean island of Grenada, in a residential neighborhood in the hills above St. George's, I went into a tiny little shop operated by a local lady. As I was browsing around, the owner's ~4 year old son walked shyly up to me, and without a word handed me one end of a short rope. I wasn't sure what he wanted me to do with it, but I started to swing it with him, as if we had a rope-jumper between us. He thought that was great fun and began laughing.
With the camera in my free hand, I was only able to get one quick shot before my new little friend became camera shy. But it's a reminder of a special moment in a special place.
