Matterhorn Sunset
Hi....This is my most popular photo on Flickr, well the old version. Two years on I´m much better with Photoshop so I thought I should re-edit it, I´m much happyer with this new version. But two years from now who knows, that´s the great thing about shooting RAW format.
This is fom two exposures manualy blended useing luminosity masks in CS5.
Thanks for looking, C&C very welcome.

Re: Matterhorn Sunset
Hi Mark- Good capture! I think the yellow in the clouds draws my eye from the mountains. I would tone it down a bit. I can understand why it is popular.

Great image, maybe a bit over processed but a great image.

Agree with previous people.
The capture is exquisite but the image over processed. The sky is on fire but that huge sharp piece of granite is your subject.

Re: Matterhorn Sunset
Beautiful shot Mark, wish it were mine !
I would also tone down the sky and it's reflection in the water a bit (reduce brightness and colour saturation, and a slightly warmer hue).

Re: Matterhorn Sunset
Hi all, thanks for your comments.
Well it seems unanimous that I over processed this one. May be but I think it´s prity much how I remembered it, it was really a amazing sky that evening and it only got better. Here´s a raw file in ACR with default settings taken about half an hour later.

Re: Matterhorn Sunset
Mark it may well have been how it looked and it's totally up to you how you want to present it - as original as possible or with some changes to present the image in a slightly different way.
Either way, it's a wonderful image.
