The Leica M Monochrom is launched
"So it was time for a camera to continue this tradition and finally make it possible to deliver authentic monochrome photography in digital form: the Leica M Monochrom.", so says the Leica website.
A must-have for all us B & W enthusiasts. Information about it is here.
The body is on pre-order with some UK retailers at £6120.00 (GBP). I've ordered two!

And the Emperor's New Clothes were beautiful!
Donald, did you realize that you were not delivering "authentic monochrome photography" with your equipment? That could have fooled the heck out of me!

I think I'll order a couple too, and a few of their nice lenses !!
And you get free software too ..
It would be interesting to have a play with one and see what difference the absence of the mosaic filter makes. The image quality should be first class.
