Re: Results - May 2012 Competition
Congrats to all.
I think many of us would make special mention of that one from Dave. It is an absolute stunner. You could make a fortune from that image. But each is a very strong image that could be put in against all manner of competition and they would hold their own.

I agree with you Donald. I congratulate all, but that entry from Dave is a once in a decade photo. I feel unworthy with my entry compared to that bridge/moon.

Re: Results - May 2012 Competition
Thanks to everyone who participated. I feel honored that my photo is in the company of such fine images as those above, and think that a number of others could have easily made the cut. But I have to agree that Dave's Golden Gate shot is a real standout. The moment I saw it, I was confident that it would take top honors.

Congrats to all 3 of you. Very well done images.
Dave - based on the EXIF a 6 secs exposure would have killed the moon so I am curious as to how you made this fine image. ND, composite, other methods?
Thanks.

Re: Results - May 2012 Competition
Well done Dave & Arlen and to those who entered a lot of good pictures and it was tough for me to pick my best one, but it did beat me in to second place

Re: Results - May 2012 Competition
Thank you, and yes it is a composite shot. One for the moon and one for everything else.
My friends went to the 75th anniversary recently and saw a remarkable fireworks display.
The bridge was closed temporarily and the entire bridge was adorned in pyrotechnics.
Unfortunately I missed that one, but you can see some of the shots on PBASE. Look
for Bill Taylor Photography. Thanks again for the kind words.

Well done. Great Images, especially the first. My kind of shot. Looks like a fair bit of planning went into it.
