    Aggelos

My nephew Aggelos (=angel in greek, the one who brings the message), about 18 months.

I have no experience in portraits so any C&C is welcomed.

I have used a speedlight aiming in the ceiling with a big reflector for directional lighting from the side and cleaned the background in PP a bit.

Not totally happy with the lighting but I like the expression of the baby.

You have achieved a fine portrait. A tad lighter background might make the lighting appear less stark. Oh, he is a fine and handsome lad!

    Hey there Miltos, nice shot.

He looks like a little ladies man.

All-in-all I like the shot. Personally I prefer this type of portrait to stay in color. I would love to see the color version of this it you have it.

As far as any changes go, the only thing I can think of is maybe try a tiny bit more sharpening around the eyes and a little bit brighter all around. In reality though, it's a shot worthy of being proud of the way it is so once again...nice shot.

I would try this one with a black border (about 50mm or so). I think that would increase the snap!

Ludwig, Shawn, Richard thank you for your comments.

Here are my new PP tries including the colour version and a brighter BW one with a border. I am not totally happy with the results so I would appreciate any new commets. I would like also to hear your opinions about the black borders (does it look like an old grandma-grandpa portrait?).
