Beautiful detail captured on the flower. I wonder if this could have taken a greater depth-of-field to get all of the plant in focus? Maybe it's just me that wants to see all the hairs on the stem and leaves behind as sharp as the detail on the flower.

I think having just the flower in focus is great as it is. Perhaps if the whole plant was in focus so that you could see every individual hair etc would make it too cluttered? I like being able to see the detail in the flower without being distracted too much but perhaps that's just me. It's a beautiful shot, however!
