Another wonderful example that the need for sharpness is often overly exagerrated.
You did it again Frank, viewing your post just keeps getting better and better. Hmmmm...intentional softening, needs to remember that.
LOL! Thank you Joe. I think that this is the only time that I've done this with the subject so it is not a common practice for me. The slightly soft focus just seemed to fit the circumstances of this image better.
On the other hand, although I usually strive to get the images sharp unless I want to control the DoF Bokeh, I can almost always tweak the background lens blur if needed but there are severe limits on increasing sharpness in post processing if it isn't right in-camera to begin with.
