Nice work Jim,
I can't say I see anything where a higher shutter speed would have helped.
Maybe the odd leg moved?
Looks sharp enough to me and it's not really moving that much.
What sort of macro ratio were they shot at?
Well done,
Very nice Jim, good detail.
How far off the subject would you have been with the Sigma 150 lens?
Keith
Hi Dave,
Yes,the slightly blurred leg.The 150 is 1:1 macro ratio.
Jim
Hi Keith,
The lens was about 2"to 3" from subject.

Hi Dave,
Here's an article you might find useful.

Jim
Thanks Jim,
My other option might be to use my old Nikon E-series 50/1.8, both with tubes and possibly also with a reversing attachment? (i.e. tubes to filter thread)
Back in my film days I had a set of Pentax screw extension tubes and even (I think), a bellows on a rail affair, shame I can't find it now - although that would also probably have been Pentax screw thread lens mount.
Cheers, Dave
Hi Jim,
They're both terrific shots!
